Hey there Familytree fans
Who here is as excited as we are for ASTEROID CITY the newest release from Wes Anderson?
As you already know I love Wes' films and especially his ability to build worlds that feel like real places, but also like a dollhouse version of reality. There's something very appealing about his idealized (yet still flawed) version of our world.
I think that's why his movies translate so well into art. Wes has put a tremendous amount of thought and work into creating worlds full of symmetry, perfectly designed lettering, impeccable costumes, and gorgeous color schemes. And ASTEROID CITY looks like no exception.
It's exciting to see some new cast members added to this ensemble. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Tom Hanks and Steve Carrell's addition to the film.
ASTEROID CITY takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955. Synopsis: The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.

The studio also released a series of movie posters promoting the release of the film.
This last design reminds me of our 50 States of Beauty Vintage Landscapes Collection.
