Project Mercury was NASA’s first attempt at human space flight, and an early part of the space race. It laid the groundwork for important later missions Gemini and Apollo. The Mercury capsule took the first American, Alan Shepard, into space on May 5, 1961.

The size in the photos depicted to be quite larger than it actually is. Definitely understand they give you a measurement prior to purchasing. I did not appreciate the text at the bottom of the art either. But it’s a reasonably priced print so it’s hard to complain overall.
